Joining Rahnda Rize Panel @ Furious Flower IV International Poetry Conference

Pheralyn Dove is honored to be among the panelists and featured poets included in Rahnda Rize’s presentation which was chosen for the Furious Flower IV International Poetry Conference. Rahnda is the creator and producer of “Song of a Soul Sistah: We Sing A Black Girl’s Song” Philly Tribute to Ntozake Shange – a performance tribute film dedicated to the life and legacy of the late great literary icon featuring over 30 women poets, vocalists, and theater artists in the Philadelphia area.” According to the conference website, “The Furious Flower Poetry Conference convenes every 10 years for scholars and writers from around the world to explore contemporary trends in Black literature, culture, and thought, and publish a signature volume of poetry, poetics, and criticism to commemorate each conference.” Rize’s film, “Song of a Soul Sistah: We Sing A Black Girl’s Song” will be screened at the Furious Flower Conference, and Pheralyn, who is featured in the film, will be among the panelists discussing the film and its impact following the screening.
